The leather

Full-grain cowhide, vegetable-tanned. Vegetable tanning uses tree bark rather than chromium salts; it takes weeks instead of a day, and it is the reason the hide can darken into a patina rather than sit under a plastic finish. Hides are chosen for grain and temper — for how they will age, not only how they photograph on the first day.

Because it is a natural surface, no two sleeves are identical. Fine wrinkles, healed marks from the animal's life, and slight shifts in tone are inherent to real full-grain leather. They are not faults, and they are the clearest evidence that the hide has not been sanded and re-coated.

Measure your laptop rather than going by its screen size, and take the larger sleeve if you fall between the two. If your machine is unusually thick, message us with the model before ordering and we will check it for you.

Construction

  • Envelope body with a weighted flap closure — no zip to run against the laptop's lid
  • Saddle-stitched stress points: two needles and one thread, so a cut stitch stays local
  • Soft brushed interior lining chosen not to polish or scratch an aluminium casing
  • Emblem debossed into the hide under pressure, never printed on the surface
  • Edges finished and burnished by hand

How it breaks in

It arrives firm. Over the first few weeks the flap learns to sit closed, the body relaxes around the shape of your laptop, and the grain begins to darken where your hands take it — deepest at the flap edge and along the spine. Cognac moves furthest, warming toward a red-brown; black deepens and gains lustre rather than changing hue.

Care

Keep it out of standing water and off hot surfaces, wipe dust with a dry cloth, and condition it once or twice a year — more often through a Lahore summer than a winter. Full instructions are on our leather care page.

Ordering

Made in small batches, so a size occasionally reads as coming soon rather than in stock. Delivery anywhere in Pakistan takes three to five business days; cash on delivery is a flat Rs 250, and bank transfer orders ship free. Unused pieces can be returned within seven days.
